Travelling to Canada?
A Few Things to Know Before You Go.
Entry Into Canada
International attendees are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate identification and travel documentation required to enter Canada.
Requirements can vary based on citizenship, how you are travelling and where you are entering Canada.
Crossing the Canada–U.S. Border
If you’re driving to Niagara Falls or flying into Buffalo Niagara International Airport, you will need to cross the international border.
Allow additional travel time for border processing, particularly during busy travel periods.
Currency & Payments
Canada uses the Canadian dollar (CAD).
Major credit cards are widely accepted throughout Niagara Falls, and many U.S.-issued credit cards can be used in Canada. Attendees may wish to check with their card provider regarding foreign transaction fees before travelling.
Mobile Phones & Roaming
U.S. and international attendees should check their mobile plan before travelling to determine whether Canadian roaming, calling and data are included.
Many carriers offer temporary Canadian or international travel options.
October Weather
October in Niagara can bring a mix of mild fall weather and cooler temperatures, particularly in the evenings and down near the Falls.
We recommend checking the forecast before travelling and bringing layers for outdoor activities and evening events.
